About The Position
Mercy Housing is a nonprofit affordable housing provider that builds, preserves, and manages program-enriched housing across the country. The Service Desk Technician I resolves technology issues, end-user computer problems, and service requests within the scope of the technician’s knowledge and skills. The position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and pays $21.23–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience supporting Windows clients in a networked environment, networked printers, PC hardware troubleshooting and repair, and troubleshooting and supporting MS Office applications.
- Willingness to work closely as part of a team of technicians.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work successfully in a rapidly changing environment.
Nice To Haves
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification.
Responsibilities
- Identify and troubleshoot user problems and concerns involving IT applications, hardware, and software.
- Serve as a liaison between staff and upper-level IT Department personnel.
- Escalate issues to Tier 2 support when necessary, providing supporting information and documenting steps completed.
- Enter call, email, and walk-in issues into the online ticketing system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
