About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is currently seeking a full-time, highly motivated, mission-driven, team-oriented professional to serve as our Service Delivery Director. We are seeking a Service Delivery Director to lead and oversee the Aquatics department, which includes the supervision of staff. A primary continued focus of this role will be the growth of aquatics programming and over-all branch membership, aiming to enhance our community impact and organizational reach. This position will be located at the Shady Grove YMCA.

Requirements

At least two years of aquatics management experience.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Demonstrate the ability to successfully create and run programs, and build relationships with members and staff.
Attention to detail and leadership skills are essential.
Current CPR-Pro, AED, First Aid, 02, and YMCA/Red Cross/Ellis lifeguard certifications.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree is preferred.
YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certification and experience are preferred.
Trainer-level and water fitness certifications are desired.

Responsibilities

Staff development, program enhancement, and member engagement.
Oversee the swim lesson program.
Supervise and schedule lifeguards.
Manage the water exercise schedule and instructors.
Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the pool.
Develop and implement programs.
Coordination and scheduling of swim lessons and other programs.
On deck supervision of programs and lifeguards.
Teaching their own group swim lessons or providing in-water support for instructors teaching lessons throughout the week.
Work closely and collaboratively with other departments to engage members and provide excellent service.
Partnering with schools and community members.
