About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a full-time, highly motivated, mission-driven, team-oriented professional to serve as our Service Delivery Director. This role will lead and oversee the Aquatics department, including staff supervision. A primary continued focus will be the growth of aquatics programming and overall branch membership, aiming to enhance community impact and organizational reach. This position is located at the Midlothian YMCA.

Requirements

At least two years of aquatics management experience.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to successfully create and run programs, and build relationships with members and staff.
Attention to detail and leadership skills.
Current CPR-Pro, AED, First Aid, 02, and YMCA/Red Cross/Ellis lifeguard certifications.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree
YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certification and experience
Trainer-level and water fitness certifications

Responsibilities

Staff development, program enhancement, and member engagement.
Oversee the swim lesson program, supervise and schedule lifeguards, manage the water exercise schedule and instructors, and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the pool.
Develop and implement programs; coordinate and schedule swim lessons and other programs; provide on-deck supervision of programs and lifeguards; and teach their own group swim lessons or provide in-water support for instructors teaching lessons throughout the week.
Work closely and collaboratively with other departments to engage members and provide excellent service, as well as partnering with schools and community members.
