About The Position

The Inpatient Pediatric Service Coordinator will organize, coordinate, evaluate, and procure equipment and supplies within budget, and collaborate with Managers from Acute Care, the Emergency Department, Respiratory, Pediatric Transport, and the Child Life Department. The Service Coordinator will use lean methodology to ensure supplies are organized, available, and managed in the most efficient manner and within departmental budgets. The Service Coordinator will support inpatient units by assisting with monitoring and tracking inventory (par levels) for all external orders. The Service Coordinator will also ensure that equipment, including point-of-care testing machines, is maintained and that service agreements are upheld. The Service Coordinator will assist in the acquisition of supplies and equipment through various funding sources, including completing funding applications. The Service Coordinator will also work with other stakeholders, including but not limited to Logistics, Finance, MDRD, Procurement, and Service Coordinators across other portfolios and departments.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (academic level)
  • Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Spreadsheets
  • 5 years recent experience (within last 2 years), preferably within a healthcare and/or hospital setting
  • Experience in supply chain management
