About The Position

This role is for a Service Coordinator/Dispatcher focused on Field Service for Industrial Equipment, specifically forklifts. Unlike most reactive Service Coordinator roles, this position involves controlling the flow of the entire service operation to ensure equipment uptime, customer satisfaction, and technician productivity. The individual will manage service work orders from open to close-out, coordinate various types of service calls, and communicate with customers and internal teams to ensure efficiency and meet service level agreements.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years in Service Coordinator, Dispatcher, Service Advisor, Fleet Coordinator, or Maintenance Scheduler roles
  • Experience in Industrial equipment, forklifts, heavy equipment, automotive, or field service operations
  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced service environment
  • Strong ability to prioritize competing demands under pressure
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams
  • Problem-solver mindset: You don’t wait for direction—you move things forward

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift, material handling, or heavy equipment industry experience
  • Automotive or mechanical service background
  • Experience with service management software (ERP, dispatch systems, work order platforms)
  • Parts coordination or service department exposure

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and dispatch field service technicians across multiple job sites
  • Manage service work orders from open → completion → close-out
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency service calls
  • Communicate with customers on equipment status, ETAs, and service updates
  • Partner with parts, service technicians, and operations teams to eliminate delays
  • Track technician productivity, job progress, and service timelines
  • Prioritize urgent breakdowns while maintaining overall workflow efficiency
  • Ensure SLA timelines, service quality, and customer expectations are met
