Greeting clients, receiving external samples, logging receipts into BV's Sample Reception system, and coordinating sample shipments to fixed labs – client interaction and sample management comprise the core of this role. Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; good command of English
  • Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet client needs or to best manage client expectations
  • Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to changes as required

  • Experience in a laboratory environment is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Greeting all clients in a friendly, positive manner and answer the main phone line to assist with customer inquiries
  • Receive all external client samples and log receipt into BV's Sample Reception system
  • Repack samples and arrange for shipment of all samples to the fixed lab
  • Coordinate with external providers such as courier services when required
  • Ensure proper daily communication of sample shipments to the fixed lab
  • Prepare bottle order requests and coordinate delivery of bottle orders
  • Inspect incoming samples and enter all sample and client information into LIMS
  • Sample entry and login of samples into LIMS including client details, testing requirements, short holding times and turn-around time
  • Recognize routine and non-routine problems and escalate to the Supervisor promptly
  • Monitor and maintain supply inventories to ensure operational continuity
  • Proactively ensure overall satisfaction of regional client base through timely communication with project management and supervisor as appropriate
  • Work closely with Business Development and Customer Service teams to grow Bureau Veritas' market share with existing and new clients
  • Monitor, calibrate and maintain the temperature of fridges, thermometers and temperature guns
  • Adhere to Bureau Veritas' quality systems QA/QC procedures, SOPs and external accreditation requirements
  • Adhere to Bureau Veritas' safety policies
  • Provide support to other related departments or areas as required (i.e. Sample Entry, Bottle Prep)
  • Other duties as required
