Service Attendant (T), Orchid Court Breakfast (Casual)
About The Position
Orchid Court offers hearty breakfast options and an extensive island buffet. Guests can grab a cappuccino at the Orchid Court bar or take their time over our mouthwatering breakfast buffet, featuring a made-to-order omelet station, classic dishes, Hawaiian go-tos, fresh pastries and seasonal fresh fruit. This role provides unique dining experiences to all of our guests through warm, personal & detailed service in a luxury, upscale and fast paced environment. It ensures a positive first impression of the restaurant for our guests through detailed cleanliness, set-up and ambiance control.
Requirements
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
- Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
- Detailed & service oriented with an eye for detail to be self-motivated and energetic.
- Provide the necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in Food and Beverage (Tuberculosis Clearance)
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
Responsibilities
- Provide unique dining experiences to all of our guests through warm, personal & detailed service in a luxury, upscale and fast paced environment.
- Ensure a positive first impression of the restaurant for our guests through detailed cleanliness, set-up and ambiance control.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, contents & preparation methods, outlets and hotel services/features
- Clean, set and re-set tables continuously, assuming responsibility for station, tables and side duties.
- Serve water, bread, coffee and greet guests by name whenever possible during the course of meal service to personalize service
- Assist server with clearing of courses as meals progress.
- Stack trays properly for efficient & effective unloading
- Clear and tidy up tables after the departure of the patrons as quickly as possible.
- Perform opening/closing side duties as assigned and set all tables according to standards and procedures
- Assist other Food & Beverage outlets with their operations during peak times or when required
- Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
- Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel
