About The Position
This position involves performing semi-skilled, routine, and repetitive tasks related to the safe cleaning and servicing of company vehicles. The individual will also perform second-level maintenance on all company vehicles, both revenue and non-revenue.
Requirements
- High school or trade school graduate.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, preferably related to transit-type operations.
- Knowledgeable in fueling, servicing, and cleaning of transit vehicles.
- Familiarity with current safety equipment and procedures.
- Excellent work performance and attendance records.
- Valid Hawaii State driver's license with a clean traffic abstract (must be presented at time of interview).
- Ability to pass State of Hawaii D.O.T. driving requirements for a "Type B" commercial driver's license.
- Ability to pass a Company-administered written examination.
- Ability to meet standard physical requirements and pass Company-sponsored medical examination and drug screening.
- Willingness and ability to work various shifts, overtime, holiday duty, and days-off as assigned.
Nice To Haves
- Transit servicing experience.
- Background in gasoline- and/or diesel-operated vehicles.
