About The Position

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety division is hiring a part-time Service Associate for Three Leaf Catering in its campus Hospitality department. The position is a back-of-house role based at the Center for Culinary Excellence (CCE), supporting cleanliness, safety, food production, and service. Three Leaf Catering provides food and hospitality for a range of campus events, from intimate gatherings and student functions to large university banquets.

Requirements

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend to clean floor drains, and climb equipment or ladders.
• Dependability, a positive attitude, and willingness to proactively assist the team as needed.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and help maintain a safe working environment for staff and guests at the CCE.
• Lead and assist with cleaning tableware and kitchen equipment.
• Support dish room setup, organization, and cleaning.
• Operate the dish machine and properly sort trays, glassware, utensils, carts, and equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness and care of kitchen equipment.
• Empty trash, cardboard, and recycling containers.
• Work collaboratively with the dish team each day.
• Help reorganize kitchen and event serviceware across the CCE so items remain efficient and ready for reuse.
• Assist with logistics, including loading and unloading trucks and breaking down carts.
