About The Position

Spiegelworld is looking for a Service Assistant On-Call to join the team at Atomic Saloon at the Venetian in Las Vegas. The Service Assistant will perform various service-oriented tasks, such as restocking the bar, clearing tables, preparing garnishes, and delivering drinks during busy service times. Ultimately, you’ll help foster an excellent guest experience by ensuring that the venue is always prepared and quality service is a top standard. Service Assistants at Spiegelworld require a combination of hospitality, efficiency, and attentiveness. Service Assistants maintain a tidy appearance and a friendly demeanor along with being well-informed about the menu offerings. It is important to be proactive and engage with patrons to create a welcoming atmosphere. This role reports to the Venue Operations Manager. This is an on call, non-union position that pays $12/hour. Current possible shifts are: Thursday 5PM-11:30PM, Friday 5PM-11:30PM, Saturday 5PM-11:30PM

Requirements

  • Interest in the hospitality industry. Previous entry-level experience in a bar or restaurant.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team spirit and a can-do approach to any request.
  • Basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Able to work in a club/nightlife atmosphere with loud music and flashing lights.
  • Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled/needed.
  • Must have a TAM and Sheriff’s card or the ability to secure one before the first shift.
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization for the US.
  • Successful background check clearance prior to hire
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring proper set-up and maintenance of well stations, back bar and bar top at all times.
  • Perform all aspects of opening and closing duties.

  • Assist bar and waitstaff throughout the shift by replacing liquor bottles, refilling ice, delivering glassware, removing trash, wiping up spills, expediting service to guests.
  • Collect and wash empty glassware then deliver back into service.
  • Refill and restock the bar with a first-in-first-out system (glassware, dry goods, mixers, garnishes, etc.).
  • Prepare mixers, juices, and cocktail garnishes and label containers correctly
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar as well as tidying up tables, counters, and other service areas.
  • Staying guest-focused and providing exceptional service by making a positive impression on the guest.
  • Maintaining awareness of all state laws pertaining to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages
  • Maintaining professionalism in both appearance and behavior at all times
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
