This is more than management—it’s mission-driven leadership. 🏠 What You’ll Be Doing Build and support a compassionate team by hiring, training, and coaching staff who care deeply about the mission Keep the shelter running strong by managing daily operations, staffing, and resources Ensure high-quality, person-centered services that support safety, dignity, and long-term stability Monitor program performance—balancing budgets, tracking outcomes, and improving services Lead with purpose in community meetings, partnerships, and advocacy efforts Use data to drive impact by setting goals and measuring success Maintain compliance with licensing, accreditation, and funding requirements Create a welcoming environment where clients feel respected and supported Deliver on grant and contract commitments, including reporting and collaboration with funding partners Continuously improve programs through evaluation and innovation Expand services by identifying new opportunities to meet community needs Coach and develop your team through regular check-ins and meaningful feedback Ensure best practices align with CARF and other standards Oversee the shelter facility, ensuring it is safe, functional, and welcoming 🌍 Work Environment & Flexibility A dynamic environment where no two days are the same Flexible scheduling with core hours, plus occasional evenings and weekends Some local travel for meetings, partnerships, or program needs ❤️ Why This Role Matters Every decision you make helps create safer spaces, stronger programs, and better outcomes for people facing some of life’s toughest challenges. Requirements

  • Education varies (from relevant experience to advanced degrees in social services or related fields)
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, including program management
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
