About The Position

St. Dominic Villa, an Illuminus Community in Hazel Green, Wisconsin, provides long-term skilled nursing and short-term rehabilitation services for older adults. The Service Aide supports residents and the community by assisting with dining, keeping rooms and common areas supplied, and providing residents with activities and reading materials. The role emphasizes dignity, respect, confidentiality, resident-centered care, safety, infection prevention, and collaboration. Certified Nursing Aide program enrollment is required, and the employer will help train the employee.

The position is offered in full-time, part-time, and PRN arrangements, with scheduling options that vary according to community needs. Shifts may be eight hours and may include a scheduled weekend rotation. Starting pay is $16.50 per hour. Benefits may vary based on employment status.

Requirements

• Enroll in a Certified Nursing Aide Program that starts within the month of hire; the employer will help train the employee.
• Excellent communication and human relations skills.
• Ability to maintain and protect confidential information.
• Ability to relate well to residents, patients, or clients and their family members or personal representatives.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Promote dignity, respect, confidentiality, resident-centered care, and a positive organizational image.
• Support dining activities, including escorting residents and distributing meals, beverages, bibs, and other needed items.
• Maintain resident rooms and common areas by stocking personal care and other necessary supplies.
• Provide residents with activities and reading materials.
• Follow safety, infection prevention, body mechanics, equipment-use, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with all disciplines and complete required training.
