About The Position

The Service Agent plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service by assisting Ontario residents with a wide range of government services. This role ensures that residents can easily access government services, such as health cards, driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations, and more, in a timely and efficient manner. The Service Agent is expected to uphold the standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and service excellence, ensuring that the customer experience is seamless, accurate, and positive.

Requirements

  • Minimum College or University level Degree/Undergraduates Degree or comparable experience.
  • 1 - 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Experience handling cash transactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in computers/technology.
  • An adaptable approach to work as position responsibilities will change to meet member/client requirements.
  • A team approach to work is required as efforts are focused on team results.
  • You must be flexible with regards to working various hours including days, evenings and Saturdays.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must speak French.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries from the public regarding a range of services including health cards, driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, and other government services.
  • Assist customers in-person, by phone, and via digital platforms with questions related to Service Ontario processes.
  • Process applications and transactions related to health card renewals, driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations, and other provincial services.
  • Verify documents and ensure accurate information is provided in accordance with Service Ontario policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor at all times.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information in accordance with privacy and security regulations.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
