About The Position

Billion Automotive is hiring an Automotive Service Advisor to join its team in Rapid City, South Dakota. The role is in the automotive category and is full-time, day shift. Compensation is competitive and depends on experience. The Service Advisor schedules service appointments, works with customers to understand their vehicle concerns, documents problems on repair orders, and provides written cost estimates for labor and parts. The advisor follows repair progress and keeps customers informed, recommends additional needed service, and supports the service department’s marketing, quality-control, and administrative processes.

Requirements

Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Prior experience in an automotive dealership is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule service appointments.
Greet customers and obtain vehicle information.
Accurately and clearly document customer-reported vehicle problems on repair orders.
Refer to service history, inspect vehicles, and recommend additional needed service.
Advise customers on vehicle care.
Provide complete and accurate written cost estimates for labor and parts.
Check repair progress throughout the day and inform customers.
Implement and maintain the service marketing program.
Review and close repair orders.
Keep service department forms, menus, and pricing guides up to date.
Implement a quality-control process to eliminate comebacks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
