About The Position

Holman Cadillac has an outstanding opportunity for a Service Advisor to join their team and the Holman Family! This role is responsible for preparing service estimates, selling routine maintenance and repair services, and conducting follow-ups regarding unsold services and customer inquiries. The Service Advisor will also perform opening and closing responsibilities, schedule appointments, answer phones, and collect funds for services performed. Key aspects of the role include predicting completion times, maintaining constant communication with customers during repairs, and assisting with the coordination of alternate transportation such as rental cars or shuttle services. The position involves actively selling needed maintenance services and related parts, identifying customer requests, conducting vehicle walk-arounds, presenting multi-point inspection results, recommending maintenance services and parts, and performing active deliveries of vehicles. Additionally, the Service Advisor will make prospecting and follow-up contacts with owners, provide outstanding customer service, write complete and accurate repair orders, and provide estimated cost analysis for automotive repairs and routine maintenance, including information on OEM part options.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Intermediate skills in CDK or Reynolds and Reynolds software
  • 1 year experience working in a service advisor or express service advisor capacity

Responsibilities

  • Prepares service estimates
  • Sells routine maintenance/repair services
  • Conducts follow-ups regarding unsold services and customer inquiries
  • Performs opening and closing responsibilities
  • Schedules appointments, answers phones and collects funds for services performed
  • Predicts the time needed for completion and stays in constant communication with the customer during the repair process
  • Assists with the coordination of alternate transportation, rental car reservations, shuttle etc.
  • Sell needed maintenance services and related parts to customers
  • Identify customer requests
  • Conduct a complete vehicle walk around
  • Present multi-point inspection results to customers
  • Recommend needed maintenance services and related parts
  • Conduct a detailed active delivery of each vehicle
  • Make appropriate prospecting and follow-up contacts with owners
  • Provide outstanding customer service in accordance with dealership policies
  • Write complete, accurate repair orders in accordance with dealership and manufacturer policies
  • Provides estimated cost analysis of automotive repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Provide in-depth information on original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part options
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
