About The Position

The Service Account Manager will be responsible for managing mechanical projects from estimation through completion. This role involves building and maintaining strong customer relationships, seeking new sales opportunities, and ensuring project profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems design and installation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems design and installation

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle and manage a variety of tasks
  • Computer knowledge that includes but is not limited to MS Office Suite with the ability to learn new software
  • Ability to build and cultivate strong relationships with new and existing customers, providing unmatched customer service
  • Establish and execute personal, team and sales goals

Responsibilities

  • Seek out new sales opportunities by building relationships, networking, and marketing to new and existing customers
  • Cultivate strong customer relationships, resolving issues and concerns in a timely manner
  • Estimate mechanical projects
  • Collaborate with field employees, project manager peers, customers, and engineers to determine customer needs and project scope
  • Gather pricing on labor, parts, equipment, and subcontractors as project requires
  • Submit clear and concise estimates to customers detailing pricing and scope; Follow up on unapproved estimates to determine if scope or pricing changes are warranted
  • Manage mechanical projects once estimates have been approved
  • Order parts and materials, communicate schedules and scope to subcontractors, schedule manpower, communicate scheduling and completion timelines to customers
  • Communicate project scope, labor and timelines to field team
  • Monitor labor, material, and subcontractor costs to ensure profit margin goals are achieved
  • Provide change orders to customers when scope is adjusted
  • Collaborate with accounts receivable to ensure timely billing and payment on projects
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors on pricing, ordering, project scheduling, and customer concerns
