About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join their team at Barrymore located at 8400 N Marston Ave, Kansas City, MO 64154. This part-time position involves greeting residents, preparing tables and dining areas, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. The role requires a positive and energetic attitude, the ability to communicate in English, and physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Requirements
- At least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Active; requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, and roll silverware.
- Bus tables.
- Sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness regarding poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite, and when residents are absent from meals.
- Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
- Assist persons after a fall.
