About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Barrymore located at 8400 N Marston Ave, Kansas City, MO 64154. This part-time position involves creating a welcoming environment for residents, preparing dining areas, assisting with meals, and maintaining cleanliness. The role also requires observing residents' dietary habits and communicating any changes to supervisors. We are looking for an energetic individual who enjoys interacting with residents and can perform the physical demands of the job.

Requirements

• At least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
• Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
• Foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, and roll silverware.
• Bus tables and sweep floors.
• Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed, as well as when residents are absent from meals.
• Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
• Assist persons after a fall.
