About The Position

The Server works in the full-service à la carte restaurants at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center, including an Italian restaurant and a Latin Steakhouse. The role provides prompt, courteous service to guests and helps maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant front of house. This is a tip-free position paid at a base hourly rate; no tips are received. The role is full-time, with 1st- and 2nd-shift availability, and pays $20 per hour.

Requirements

• Friendly, outgoing personality and enjoyment of interacting with people.
• Food Safety Certification and Texas Alcohol Beverage Certification required within 30 days of starting, with recertification as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests to take drink and food orders.
• Help guests make selections by sharing menu knowledge.
• Keep the restaurant dining space organized, set to standard, and maintained throughout service, with attention to detail.
• Perform side work such as polishing silverware, rolling silverware, cleaning side stations, and vacuuming.
• Enter orders into a point-of-sale system, present checks, and take payment.
• Anticipate guest needs, manage multiple tables, and prioritize food-allergy safety.
• Clear and reset a section quickly during peak dining hours to maximize table turnover.
• Be familiar with property amenities and other restaurants.
