About The Position

The Server is responsible for making residents’ dining experiences pleasant and positive by providing high-quality customer service, maintaining dining areas, seating residents, and serving meals. The role serves residents, family members, and guests, while helping ensure safe and efficient community operations and a welcoming dining environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Background clearances as required by government regulations.

Responsibilities

Take written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members, and guests professionally, efficiently, and courteously.
Assist residents with meal and menu selections as necessary or requested.
Use proper dining etiquette while waiting tables, including serving from the left and clearing used dishes between courses.
Review residents’ dietary needs as outlined by the Culinary Director.
Track resident attendance at meals and report it to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
Greet and seat residents properly, making extra efforts to help new residents feel welcome and comfortable.
Maintain a clean, sanitary dining area and follow policies and procedures for proper food handling and service.
Display tact and friendliness when interacting with residents, associates, and guests.
Clean and reset tables and return dishes to the kitchen.
Clean and set up dining and food service areas, stock condiments, remove old items, and restock supplies as needed.
Cooperate with and assist other kitchen and dining services to support a positive resident dining experience.
Help break down deliveries, put away stock, and wash dishes as needed.
Deliver meals to resident rooms as required and collect trays after meal service.
Comply with Clearwater standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient community operations.
Maintain a positive, professional image and high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag while working.
Represent Clearwater principles and core values on a daily basis.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required.
