About The Position

The Server joins the Benchmark dining team at The Commons in Lincoln, helping provide a clean and welcoming dining environment and friendly, personalized service to residents. The role involves serving appealing meals promptly and supporting residents with meal selections and other dining needs.

Availability listed includes full-time or part-time schedules: Tuesday–Saturday, 2–8 PM; Sunday–Saturday, 7 AM–7 PM; and Wednesday and Friday, 7 AM–7 PM. Per-diem availability is also listed for all shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and applicable Health Department regulations and guidelines for food service operations.
• Able to serve food and beverages to residents promptly and efficiently.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand in one place for extended periods; the position is primarily standing.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders from residents and serve meals promptly, ensuring they are presentable and appetizing.
• Set up and deliver meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
• Assist residents with meal selection and respond to their specific needs.
• Set up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
• Assist with inventorying supplies.
