About The Position

The Playbook Sports Bar Server is responsible for providing attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized service to guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience in a high-end sports bar setting. This role involves taking accurate food and beverage orders, offering menu recommendations with a focus on gourmet bites and beverage pairings, and delivering orders promptly and correctly. The Food Server must maintain a professional, polished demeanor, anticipate guest needs, and work closely with the culinary and service teams to uphold the restaurant's standards of excellence.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
  • Three (3) years of experience in gourmet, contemporary dining, and/or high-volume restaurants and bars.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess or obtain a Responsible Beverage Service State Certification.
  • Must possess or obtain a California Food Handler Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Redefine hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting company values.
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage offerings to explain the menu to guests with confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Follow the steps of service as outlined by the department on a consistent basis.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, including recommendations for gourmet bites and beverage pairings.
  • Proficient use of the POS system.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring correct orders and presentation.
  • Provide attentive, friendly, and personalized service throughout the dining experience.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area, including the dining room and service stations.
  • Anticipate guest needs and address any concerns or requests in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and accurate orders.
  • Process payments accurately and handle cash or credit transactions following company procedures.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining area as assigned.
