About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Buckingham located at 1602 Buckingham Street, Saint Joseph, MO 64506. This is a part-time position with a pay range of $15 - $21.50 per hour. The shift schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. As a Server, you will be responsible for greeting residents, fostering a welcoming dining environment, preparing tables and meals, bussing tables, sweeping floors, and communicating any observed changes in resident dietary habits or appetite to supervisors and Wellness staff.

Requirements

• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
• Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
• Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
• Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
• Foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
• Bus tables.
• Sweep floors.
• Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
• Communicate when residents are absent from meals.
