About The Position

The Food & Beverage team is currently seeking a hard-working, attentive Server for Alteno. In this role, you'll master the ability to provide support for the F&B team, to ultimately execute the perfect experience for our guests dining experience with us. Alteno pays homage to its Jaliscan Highland roots and traditions, incorporating a mix of heritage flavors and rustic preparations that spotlight the cuisine and culture of Los Altos de Jalisco.

Requirements

  • Prior serving experience.
  • Are organized and proficient at multitasking.
  • Are a reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English communication.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment).

Responsibilities

  • Fulfilling all guest’s service needs according to 1 Hotel standards.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of full food and drink menu while making recommendations.
  • Observing guests’ dining experience to confirm satisfaction, responding promptly to any requests.
  • Providing guest check promptly and returns receipt promptly.
  • Keeping all service and table areas clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Assisting busser or fellow servers in clearing and resetting tables when needed.
  • Providing engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact respectable conversation and smiling.
  • Practicing highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials.
  • Following and adhering to all standards set forth by federal and state guidelines.
  • Having knowledge of state and federal liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcohol.
  • Performing other related activities as assigned by management.
  • Guaranteeing neat and quality service.
  • Participating in daily shift meetings.
  • Adhering to strict uniform & grooming standards.
  • Following company cash handling and payment tendering procedures with care.
  • Following all company and safety and security policies and procedures; reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; completing safety training and certifications; properly storing flammable materials.
  • Ensuring compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleagues.
  • Ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.
