Requirements

  • Prior bartending experience
  • Proficient in verbal and written English communication
  • Are organized and proficient at multitasking
  • Are a reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment)
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
  • Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules, including holidays and weekends, to accommodate the business and demands of the property.

Responsibilities

  • Crafting classic and creative alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, engaging with customers, and ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of full food and drink menu while making recommendations.
  • Creating a diverse range of handcrafted cocktails, mocktails, and other specialty beverages with precision and flair, using high-quality ingredients, techniques, and garnishes.
  • Continually innovating and introducing new and exciting drink creations.
  • Providing exceptional customer service by warmly welcoming guests, engaging in friendly and professional conversation, and understanding their preferences.
  • Offering recommendations and suggestions based on their tastes, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable experience.
  • Efficiently and accurately taking drink orders, preparing them promptly, and serving beverages with attention to detail and presentation.
  • Ensuring all orders are prepared in compliance with company standards and specific customer requests.
  • Demonstrating an extensive understanding of classic and contemporary mixology, including various spirits, liqueurs, bitters, and other ingredients.
  • Staying updated on emerging trends and new techniques within the industry.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all glassware, utensils, and bar tools are sanitized and readily available.
  • Adhering to safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
  • Upholding company policies and procedures, including adhering to work schedules, dress code, and attendance guidelines.
  • Adhering to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that all perishable items used behind the bar are labeled/dated and responsible for rotating and throwing away to maintain quality control.
  • Performing opening side work and set up station.
  • Attending and participating in any training sessions, department meetings.
  • Proper serving of wine and alcohol (with awareness).
  • Properly executing closing procedures.
  • Following high standards of food product, sanitation, storage, and handling procedures.
  • Providing guest check promptly and returning receipt promptly.
  • Keeping all service and table areas clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Providing engaged, friendly and attentive customer service to all guests inclusive of eye contact respectable conversation and smiling.
  • Practicing highest regards for safety within all areas and with all materials.
  • Following and adhering to all standards set forth by federal and state guidelines.
  • Having knowledge of state and federal liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcohol.
  • Performing other related activities as assigned by management.
  • Guaranteeing neat and quality service.
  • Participating in daily shift meetings.
  • Following company cash handling and payment tendering procedures with care.
  • Following all company and safety and security policies and procedures; reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; completing safety training and certifications; properly storing flammable materials.
  • Ensuring compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleagues.
  • Ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.
