About The Position

As a Server in the Pilina lobby lounge at Fairmont Kea Lani, you will connect guests with cuisine inspired by Hawaiʻi’s diverse culture and island setting. You will provide knowledgeable, personalized, and efficient service while helping create memorable guest experiences. The position includes completing opening duties, following the resort’s service sequence, knowing menu items and preparations, supporting sales promotions, following food-safety standards, and completing side work according to shift demands. Employees work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to meet hotel business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or vocational training.
• At least two years of serving experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• TB clearance.
• Maui County Liquor Card.
• Food Safety Certification or ServSafe Certification.
• Proof of authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Responsibilities

• Confirm station assignment.
• Complete the daily opening checklist and assigned duties.
• Follow the Fairmont Kea Lani sequence of service, including welcoming guests, introducing the venue, setting tables, taking and entering orders in the POS, serving beverages and food, maintaining and bussing tables, presenting checks, and resetting tables.
• Maintain full knowledge of menu items, garnishes, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Bring passion to the guest experience and look for ways to emotionally engage guests.
• Participate in monthly departmental sales promotions.
• Follow State of Hawaii Department of Health and EHC food-handling safety standards.
• Organize time to complete side work according to shift demands.
• Provide engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service while maintaining an atmosphere of aloha.
