About The Position

The Poolside Server represents the exceptional service and cuisine of AMA Bar & Grill’s poolside food and beverage experience. The role provides warm, personal attention and detailed knowledge of the offerings so guests feel unique and valued in a relaxed, outdoor, social atmosphere. The position pays $16.00 per hour. Employees work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate hotel operations and guest demand.

The work is performed outdoors, where conditions vary throughout the year. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States; work visa sponsorship is not offered.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of serving experience; high-volume, upscale full-service restaurant experience is preferred.
• Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• TB clearance required and must be provided within 48 hours of an employment offer.
• Maui County Liquor Card required and must be provided within 48 hours of an employment offer.
• Hawaii Food Safety Certification required and must be provided within 48 hours of an employment offer.
• High school diploma or equivalent and/or vocational training.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; the position does not offer work visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs and push and pull 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous fine dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Confirm station assignment.
• Complete the daily opening checklist and assigned duties.
• Maintain full knowledge of menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
• Provide engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service while maintaining an atmosphere of aloha.
• Focus on guest needs and remain calm and courteous at all times.
