About The Position

The Poolside Server at AMA Bar & Grill provides exceptional food and beverage service in a relaxed, outdoor, social setting. The role involves learning the resort’s menu and preparation methods, completing assigned opening tasks, and delivering engaging, personalized, timely service while maintaining an aloha spirit. The position is part-time and permanent, with varying schedules that include weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• TB clearance.
• Maui County Liquor Card.
• Hawaii Food Safety Certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent and/or vocational training.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and provide identification verifying work authorization; visa sponsorship is not offered.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs and push and pull 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform constant standing, walking, and reaching; frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling; and occasional crouching, bending, stooping, and kneeling.

Nice To Haves

• At least 2 years of serving experience in a high-volume, upscale, full-service restaurant.
• Previous fine dining experience and wine knowledge.
• Degree in Hospitality or Tourism.

Responsibilities

• Confirm station assignment.
• Complete the daily opening checklist and assigned duties.
• Maintain full knowledge of menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
• Provide engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to guests while fostering an aloha spirit.
• Focus on guest needs and remain calm and courteous.
