About The Position

McMenamins Grand Lodge is hiring for a Server. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington that serves handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits, coffee, and pub fare. Their locations range from neighborhood pubs to historic hotels, emphasizing community, art, history, music, food, drink, and fun. Servers will handle all tasks from opening to closing in a multi-tasking environment, including greeting customers, seating guests, providing knowledgeable service, taking food and beverage orders, delivering products, serving food and drinks, bussing tables, restocking supplies, using a POS system, collecting payment, dishwashing, general cleaning, working indoors and outdoors, maintaining customer relations, and setting up/breaking down service areas. Servers are responsible for balancing bookwork and turning in receipts at the end of each shift. The role requires physical work, mental agility, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, as well as working independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Must be 18+ years of age
Must obtain and maintain a current food handlers card
Must obtain and maintain a current OLCC card
Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment

Nice To Haves

Previous related experience is preferred
Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

Greeting incoming customers
Working with the host station in seating guests or directing them to choose their preferred seating
Providing knowledgeable service to tables
Taking food and beverage orders
Delivering products in a timely manner
Serving food, beer, wine and spirits
Bussing tables and restocking supplies
Placing orders on a POS system
Collecting payment
Dishwashing
General cleaning
Working outside and indoors
Maintaining customer relations with all guests
Setting up and breaking down of service and work areas
Balancing bookwork at the end of every shift
Turning in all appropriate cash and non-cash receipts
