About The Position

McMenamins Grand Lodge is hiring a Catering Bartender. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington that serves handcrafted beverages and pub fare. The role of a bartender involves handling all bar operations from opening to closing, including serving food and beverages, operating a POS system, table service, cleaning, restocking, and maintaining customer relations. Bartenders are responsible for all cashiering duties. This role can be physically demanding and requires mental agility, multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work in both smoking and non-smoking areas. Teamwork and independent work are both essential.

Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain a current food handler card and OLCC card.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Enjoy working in a busy customer service-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous related experience is preferred.
  • Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handle every task from opening to closing of the bar.
  • Serve food.
  • Pour and serve beer, wine, and spirits.
  • Operate a cash register and/or a POS system.
  • Wait on and bus tables.
  • Do dishes.
  • Restock supplies.
  • General cleaning.
  • Complete the books after shifts.
  • Maintain customer relations.
  • Perform all cashiering duties.
