About The Position

The Full Time Seasonal Server provides exceptional quality and service to Braidwood Tavern guests. In this role, you will be tasked with providing an expertly served beverage or dining experience; anticipating the guests’ needs and as an expert on the menu options; and delivering memorable guest experiences. This role is part of the Braidwood Tavern team, reporting into the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager and Restaurant Manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Server in a restaurant or hotel is required.
• Strong command of the English language.
• Excellent commitment to service.
• Must have a current Serving it Right certificate.
• Ability to work in Canada.

• High level of understanding and knowledge of food and wine
• Background in Luxury Resort and Hotel considered an asset
• Passion and knowledge of food and beverage products.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wine and cocktail recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide an enjoyable dining experience through excellence for quality, professionalism, and friendliness.
• Anticipate guest needs and satisfaction; offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Assist in clearing and resetting tables according to service standards
• Ensure a seamless dining experience for guests dining at Braidwood Tavern.
• Setting up the restaurant for service, including the buffet.
• Presenting the menu providing detailed explanations of menu items, and recommending dishes.
• Take guest orders, including to-go items.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly while ensuring dishes are as requested.
• Anticipate guest needs, ensure satisfaction and respond appropriately to guest concerns and request.
• Handling payments accurately, processing transactions, and presenting bills to guests.
