About The Position

LCB Senior Living is hiring a Server at The Residence at Bedford in Bedford, Massachusetts. The role provides customer service in a restaurant-style dining environment for residents and guests, supporting a positive dining experience and resident satisfaction. Servers work closely with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director and coordinate with dining and kitchen staff. The position is full-time, with an hourly wage of $17.00–$21.00 based on years of experience.

Requirements

Less than high school education.
Finger and hand dexterity to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment.
Visual and auditory acuity.
Ability to lift and carry objects; the description specifies a minimum of fifteen (25) lbs.
Ability to push and pull carts and continuously walk, sit, and stand.
Ability to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below the waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate.
Ability to use good body mechanics.
Ability to type and use a computer.

Responsibilities

Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
Work with the Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to support resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.
Set tables according to LCB standards.
Serve beverages to residents and guests as requested.
Review the daily menu with residents.
Accurately take and deliver meal orders to residents and guests.
Remove used or soiled plates, utensils, glasses, and linen from the dining room as needed.
Assist with preparing and carrying out dining enhancement programs.
Follow Quality Enhancement standards and standard food safety practices.
Assist with preparing and carrying out special events, banquets, and theme meals.
When applicable, acquaint new residents with menus, seating, dining options, and hours.
Clean and sanitize the dining room carpet, tables, chairs, condiment containers, and equipment.
Communicate residents' likes and dislikes to the food service director and/or dining room manager for menu planning and resident satisfaction.
Promote teamwork and cooperation among staff.
Attend the pre-meal stand-up for dining and kitchen staff.
