Requirements
- Knowledge of the basic functions of food operations.
- Working knowledge of acceptable standards of sanitation and proper chemical usage.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff, and guests.
Nice To Haves
- Relevant experience in a high quality, high volume operation preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent guest service with the support of the Assistant Server and the Food Server.
- Ensure the proper set up of the station and work areas assigned.
- Ensure the smooth serving of food and beverage to all guests.
- Prepare the set up for the next meal period/next day at the end of the shift.
- Offer support to all other colleagues in the restaurant.
- Become familiar with all menu items, wine, and spirits.
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders to guests and ensure correct and prompt delivery of orders.
- Enter order into computer system to request food preparation.
- Observe guests to respond if additional service is required.
- Prepare check and deliver to guests when finished.
- Clear, clean, reset, and maintain station during shift.
- Follow all proper cash, credit card, and room charge procedures.
- Follow all proper check control procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
