About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Vitalia Highland Heights. This is a full-time position with a shift schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The role involves creating a welcoming environment for residents, preparing the dining area, maintaining cleanliness, and observing residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. We are looking for individuals who are at least sixteen years old, can communicate effectively in English, possess a positive and energetic attitude, and are physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ability to assist residents with mobility and post-fall situations is also required, along with criminal clearance.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
- Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
- Foster an environment where residents can connect.
- Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
- Bus tables and sweep floors.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed.
- Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when residents are absent from meals.
