About The Position

We are looking for a Server to join our team at The Crestone Senior Living. This role involves being a Host with the Most by greeting residents and fostering a welcoming environment, being a Peppy Prepper by preparing tables and meals, being a Titan of Tidiness by bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness, and being an Appetite Anthropologist by observing and reporting on residents' dietary habits and appetite changes. The ideal candidate will be at least sixteen years old, able to communicate in English at an 8th-grade proficiency, possess a positive and energetic attitude, and be comfortable with physical demands including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. This role also requires assisting residents with mobility and ensuring criminal clearance.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
  • Able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Must have a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
  • Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
  • Foster an environment where residents can connect.
  • Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, and roll silverware.
  • Understand that successful meal service requires preparation.
  • Bus tables and sweep floors.
  • Maintain community cleanliness.
  • Communicate with supervisors and Wellness regarding poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite.
  • Report when residents are absent from meals.
