About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a part-time Server to join our team at The Crestone Senior Living in Olathe, Kansas. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming and positive dining experience for our residents. As a Server, you will be responsible for greeting residents, fostering an environment for connection, preparing tables and meals, maintaining cleanliness, and observing residents' dietary habits and overall well-being. We are looking for an energetic and positive individual who is at least sixteen years of age, can communicate effectively in English, and is physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ideal candidate will also be able to assist residents with mobility and be criminally cleared.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Ability to assist persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
  • Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain residents.
  • Foster an environment where residents can connect.
  • Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
  • Bus tables and sweep floors.
  • Communicate with supervisors and Wellness regarding poor dietary habits, unusual changes in appetite, or resident absences from meals.
