About The Position

Servers will be responsible for food and beverage service including greeting guests, making suggestions for courses, providing education about our products, taking orders, food and beverage delivery to tables, clearing the appropriate meal courses, cashing out guest’s checks, and resetting tables for next seating. The employee will be responsible for maintaining positive guest relations throughout the guests’ experience.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing to obtain State mandated food safety certification and Cicerone server certification
  • Ability to operate and use computers and cash register
  • Excellent communication skills (must effectively convey information)
  • Excellent listener: Must give full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in full-service restaurants, dining/table service, and/or hospitality preferred

Responsibilities

  • Delivering orders to the guest’s table or staging area in the dining room/bar area
  • Welcoming and interacting with guests in a positive and friendly manner
  • Delivers orders using designated pivot points
  • Checks receipts and assembles the order for the guest
  • Ensures that the food presentation is fresh and up to quality standards
  • Replenishes food and other serving items on the serving line as necessary
  • Anticipate guests needs and assists with directions, event schedules, and other information or assistance as needed
  • May pre-bus tables or seat guests
  • May do “Side Work” pertaining to their craft including but not limited to cleaning work areas, stocking area, cleaning glasses, fold/roll napkins
  • Replenishes supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware and dishes in dining room
  • Bussing tables, disposing of trash, maintaining the cleanliness of all restaurant areas, transporting dirty dishes to the dish room, assembling guest food orders and/or delivering them to the dining room
  • Makes coffee and fills fruit juice dispensers
  • Cleans floors
  • Assembles food order to be taken to the dining room
  • Actively exhibit a commitment to support a diverse and inclusive work environment

Benefits

  • Base hourly wage of $10.70/hour
