About The Position

As a Server at BRU Burger in Lexington, you help ensure a positive dining experience by providing attentive customer service, accurately managing orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and keeping the dining area clean and organized. You will work with guests and restaurant teammates in a fast-paced environment, promote menu items, and follow food safety, alcohol service, and company procedures. Training is provided. The position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable regulations. Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and help them feel welcome.
Assist guests with menu selections and explain food and beverage offerings.
Provide prompt, courteous service and professionally address inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
Accurately take food and beverage orders, enter them into the restaurant POS system, and verify them before submitting to the kitchen.
Coordinate special requests and dietary restrictions with kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and according to presentation standards, ensuring meals include appropriate condiments and accompaniments.
Monitor guest needs, refill drinks, clear plates, and provide requested items.
Set up and clean tables before and after guest use; keep the dining area clean, maintained, and stocked.
Assist with restaurant cleanliness, including dishwashing and other cleaning tasks as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers, and communicate guest feedback and special requests to appropriate team members.
Promote daily specials, desserts, and beverages, and suggest additional items or upgrades.
Follow health and safety guidelines, including food safety regulations, and company policies for alcohol service and guest conduct.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
