About The Position

As a Server at BRU Burger, you help ensure guests have a positive dining experience by providing attentive customer service, accurately managing orders, serving food and beverages promptly, and maintaining a clean, organized dining area. You welcome guests, assist with menu choices, respond professionally to questions and requests, and coordinate with the kitchen and restaurant team. You also promote specials and additional menu items, follow food safety and alcohol-service policies, and process payments accurately. Previous serving experience is preferred but not required; training is provided. The position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime compensation under applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and make them feel welcome.
Assist guests with menu selections and provide information about food and beverage offerings.
Provide prompt, courteous service and address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests professionally.
Accurately take food and beverage orders, enter them into the restaurant POS system, and check for accuracy before submitting them to the kitchen.
Coordinate special requests and dietary restrictions with kitchen staff.
Serve food and beverages promptly and according to presentation standards, ensuring meals have the appropriate condiments and accompaniments.
Monitor guest needs, refill drinks, clear plates, and provide additional items as requested.
Set up and clean tables before and after guest use, and keep the dining area clean, maintained, and stocked.
Assist with general restaurant cleaning, dishwashing, and other cleaning tasks as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers; communicate guest feedback and special requests to team members.
Promote daily specials, desserts, beverages, and additional items or upgrades.
Follow health and safety guidelines, food safety regulations, and company policies for alcohol service and guest conduct.
Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely.
