About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Server to join our team at Rushwood. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for residents, preparing for meal services, maintaining cleanliness, and observing resident dining habits. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be at least sixteen years of age, and possess good communication skills in English. This position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day, with the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and assist residents with mobility. Criminal clearance is required.

Requirements

• At least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
• Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and make them feel welcome.
• Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain.
• Foster an environment where residents can connect.
• Prepare tables for service, salads for the next meal, or roll silverware.
• Bus tables and sweep floors.
• Communicate with supervisors and Wellness regarding resident dietary habits, appetite changes, or absences from meals.
