Paradies Lagardère is an award-winning and innovative Airport Concessionaire. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our diverse and inclusive dining environment. This role offers part-time and full-time opportunities within our award-winning concepts, providing a rewarding experience for those who enjoy serving travelers. Moab Brewery & Restaurant, a new partnership, brings the spirit of adventure and award-winning craft beer to the Salt Lake City Airport. We are seeking individuals with a passion for great food, a knack for making guests feel at home, and a love for working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment to join our team and deliver exceptional experiences to travelers.

Requirements

  • 1-year experience serving required.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience handling money and a point of sale system.
  • Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of math to figure cost, make change, and cash handling procedures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members.
  • Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with customers and peers.
  • Ability to work PM shifts in a 7/365 team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively, in English.
  • Self-starter able to prioritize and handle various tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
  • Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Positive interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency required in reading, writing, and mathematics, in English.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local liquor laws.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs., perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, reaching, climbing on a ladder, and walking long distances.
  • Standing for long periods of time and the ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures.

  • ServSafe Certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • TIPS Certification or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by interacting with guests in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Utilize complete knowledge of food and beverage menus to take orders, answer questions, and make suggestions.
  • Deliver guests' orders and follow up to ensure all needs are met.
  • Create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.
  • Support the mission by demonstrating service standards and holding all team members to the same.
  • Provide a safe work environment of trust and respect, free of harassment.
  • Embody a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service with a smile.
  • Recognize and satisfy all restaurant guests and be accountable to managers.
  • Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with every guest, business partner, and peer.
  • Maintain a professional company image by adhering to grooming and uniform guidelines, including slip-resistant shoes.
  • Treat guests and peers in accordance with the core values of the company and FEAST (Food, Excellence, Attitude, Service, Team).
  • Warmly greet and acknowledge guests promptly.
  • Present the menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a lasting first and last impression.
  • Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's menu, its ingredients, flavor profiles, portion sizes, and preparation methods.
  • Observe guests to respond to any additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed.
  • Total bills accurately and accept payment following established guidelines.
  • Process all point of sale transactions quickly and efficiently, complying with company's Cash Handling and Loss Prevention Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Know all specials on a shift-by-shift basis, as well as all liquor, beer, and wine products, and all menu items and desserts.
  • Build guest loyalty and enhance selling skills through available training materials.
  • Work together with fellow employees and management to ensure guests have the best experience possible.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with cooks and other staff.
  • Assume the role of a salesperson with a commitment to upsell, increase check average, compete in sales incentives, and promote the brand.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Support other areas of the restaurant as requested, such as seating customers, answering telephones, stock work, cleanup, and documentation.
  • Respond appropriately to guest concerns.
  • Complete all side work duties, which may include sweeping and mopping.
  • Enthusiastically support decisions once they have been made by management.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including those relating to food safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
