About The Position

This position is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming dining experience for residents. Servers (Dietary Aides) assist cooks with meal preparation and service, build connections with residents, work courteously with coworkers, and follow procedures outlined by state and federal regulations. The role supports Priority Life Care’s mission to provide senior care with respect for affordability and independence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Follow procedures outlined by state and federal regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Serving experience.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents warmly and promptly for the dining experience.
• Accurately take food and drink orders in the dining room and relay them to kitchen staff.
• Know the menu and describe meal options.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently and courteously.
• Check on residents throughout their meals, ensure satisfaction, and address concerns.
• Assist with food preparation.
• Set up the dining room as a clean, inviting space.
• Clean resident eating areas, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Report issues or problems to the Dietary Manager.
• Attend in-services and other required meetings.
• Promote and exemplify Priority Life Care’s mission and values.
