About The Position

The Server / Dietary Aide creates a warm and welcoming dining experience for residents. The role also assists cooks with meal preparation and service, builds connections with residents, works courteously with coworkers, and follows procedures outlined by state and federal regulations. Cross-training is required for other Culinary Department positions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Serving experience is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents warmly and promptly as they arrive for the dining experience.
• Accurately take food and drink orders in the dining room and relay them to kitchen staff.
• Know the menu and describe meal options.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently and courteously.
• Check on residents during meals, ensure their satisfaction, and address concerns.
• Assist with food preparation.
• Set up the dining room as a clean, inviting space.
• Clean resident eating areas, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Report issues or problems to the Dietary Manager.
• Attend in-services and other required meetings.
• Promote and exemplify Priority Life Care’s mission and values.
• Cross-train for other Culinary Department positions.
