About The Position

Uchiko Denver is hiring Server Assistants to support restaurant service and enhance the guest experience. The role involves learning the menu, specials, and Japanese cuisine, as well as participating in peer-led training on beer, wine, and sake. Server Assistants help with floor side work, table service, food delivery and explanation, glassware polishing, stocking, and curbside order handling. The position requires working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and communicating effectively with guests, coworkers, and leadership.

Requirements

Effectively communicate with guests and other employees.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Ability to work in a variety of temperatures, both hot and cold.
Ability to work in close proximity to coworkers in a crowded kitchen or serving area.
Ability to use kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as ovens, grills, and knives.
Move quickly and efficiently to respond to customer needs.

Responsibilities

Learn the menu, current specials, and Japanese cuisine.
Participate in peer-led beverage training about beer, wine, and sake.
Be present and active on the floor and assist with running side work.
Bus and reset tables, polish glassware, and stock supplies.
Assist servers with all aspects of service to enhance the guest experience.
Deliver food to guests and explain each dish.
Receive, organize, and deliver curbside orders to guests waiting outside.
Detect and identify safety issues and comply with safety guidelines and standards.
Stock inventory and perform restocking duties.
Maintain a neat and organized workspace, including proper supply storage and cleaning surfaces.
Maintain a professional and hygienic appearance, including proper uniform and personal grooming.
Communicate effectively with leadership and coworkers.
