Requirements

• Smart Serve Certification a requirement
• High attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment

• Strong oral communication skills
• High level of product knowledge
• Ability to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentum
• Must be able to work on their feet for extended periods
• Must be able to lift 25-35 lbs
• Legally eligible to work in Canada

Responsibilities

• Inspecting all tables for the proper mise en place, cleanliness and completeness.
• Practicing a high level of floor awareness and having exceptional knowledge of all food and beverage items.
• Assisting with food running, ensuring that plates arrive to the proper guest (no auctioning off).
• Monitoring the cleanliness of section and ensuring all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter.
• Communicating with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating.
• Practicing a high level of floor awareness and clearing/cleaning as required.
• Ensuring that condiments are pre-portioned and the fridges are stocked with milk, cream, butter etc.
• Monitoring food quality and presentation standards.
• Following all food safety standards and systems.
• Emptying garbage, changing linen bags and disposing of garbage and recycling.
• Communicating to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience.
• Answering questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
