About The Position

The Rec Room's Server Assistants are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional dining experience to each and every guest. The Server Assistant delivers food and beverages to guests in multiple areas of the building, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the overall order, and clears tables and the bar as soon as guests leave to prepare for the next guest. Requirements

Candidates must be the required age of majority or older.
Completed high school diploma or GED, or currently in progress.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends with extended hours as required.
Strong guest service skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and multi-task.
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Provincially applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate.

Nice To Haves

1-3 years of experience as a Server Assistant, Runner, Barback or Busser, or in a similar capacity.

Responsibilities

Work closely and provide assistance to the wait staff, dishwashers, bar and kitchen staff, ensuring there are always clean plates and flatware for each table or at the bar.
Maintain liquor and bar supplies are filled to sustain service levels at the bar.
Change kegs in the walk-in fridge or portable bars when required.
Bring utensils, condiments and other requested items to the table.
Fill water glasses and refillable drinks.
Ensure service stations are well-stocked.
Return food and drink items if a change or correction is required, and return the newly prepared item to the guest.
Assist with the overall cleanliness appearance of the venue.
Wash glassware and utensils from the bar area after each use or wash dishes during peak periods.
Deliver food and beverages to guests in multiple areas of the building, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the overall order.
Clear tables and the bar as soon as guests leave to prepare for the next guest.
