About The Position

The Server Assistant - Special Events plays a key role in delivering high-quality service during special events. The position supports servers and event staff by preparing and maintaining service areas, helping deliver food and beverages, and responding promptly and courteously to guest needs. It requires adaptability in fast-paced environments and effective collaboration with a diverse team to create memorable guest experiences. The Server Assistant also maintains cleanliness and organization throughout the event and follows health and safety standards, helping improve event efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role, preferably in a fast-paced or event setting.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in special events, catering, or banquet service environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems and order tracking.
• Certification in food handling or hospitality service.
• Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest population.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and replenish service stations with supplies such as utensils, glassware, and condiments.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately, following presentation and event standards.
• Clear tables and service areas while maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the event space.
• Collaborate with event coordinators and kitchen staff to address guest requests and resolve service issues quickly.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic environment during events.
