About The Position

Café Lunette, a part of Freehand Hospitality, is seeking a Server Assistant to provide warm, attentive service and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role involves front-of-house hospitality and beverage preparation, suitable for individuals who enjoy guest interaction and hands-on café service. The café operates as a café by day and a bistro by night, serving a variety of French classics, pastries, crêpes, galettes, and breakfast sandwiches. The ideal candidate will contribute to a positive guest experience through friendly interaction, menu knowledge, and efficient service.

Requirements

a valid Smart Serve Certification
open availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
1+ years experience as a Server Assistant and as a Barista
strong classic cocktail knowledge
passion for food, beverage and providing excellent customer service
strong communication skills
the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

familiarity with French cuisines is considered an asset

Responsibilities

creating a warm, positive guest experience through friendly interaction and attentive service
enthusiastically inform guests about our offerings and share your menu knowledge to make the best recommendations
preparing and serving beverages to standard while ensuring accuracy in all POS entries
monitoring food and beverage quality, presentation, and overall guest satisfaction
maintaining a clean and organized service area, following all food safety and cleanliness standards
completing opening, closing, and side duties efficiently and support team operations as needed
