About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston is currently looking for a talented and dynamic Server Assistant who shares our passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything he/she does! The Server Assistant assists the Server in providing an enjoyable dining experience to our guests while conforming to the restaurant’s standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. The position clears tables and resets them neatly, rapidly and completely according to specification. The Server Assistant assist with the serving of food, set-up and clearing of china, glass, and silver from service as well as attend to guest needs and requests.

Requirements

  • Possesses an affinity for guest service!
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to perform this position to the restaurant’s standards and learn the sequence of service is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request!
  • Must already be legally permitted to work in the United States. Applicants without valid work authorization for the United States will not be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • At minimum 1 year previous experience in a fast paced food and beverage operation
  • Exceptional communication skills and command of English language
  • Additional language a definite asset for career growth

Responsibilities

  • Stock linen, china, and silver for service ensuring that all are polished and in good condition.
  • Clean soiled bar glassware and polish by properly utilizing the bar dish machine.
  • Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents, and anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary.
  • Preparation of condiment and garnish items.
  • Assistance with guest service including retrieving food from the kitchen using a tray and safely transporting it to guest, as well as removal of items from the guest’s table.
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations.
