About The Position

The One-on-One Assistant is assigned to a student (or students) to perform the duties as described in their IEP’s. The One-on-One Assistant works under the direction of the classroom teachers and/or certified staff to promote the target student’s (or students’) academic achievement, behavioral growth, socio-emotional relationships, and personal development. The One-on-One Assistant must adapt to the particular educational/therapeutic needs of the student(s).

Requirements

• High school diploma or a high school equivalency certification.
• Physical and mental capacity to perform the major responsibilities of the job assignment.
• Demonstrate physical strength, agility, and energy to perform essential job functions and to ensure health, welfare, and safety of all students and of self.
• Ability to perform essential functions either unaided or with reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as described in the student's IEP's.
• Work under the direction of classroom teachers and/or certified staff.
• Promote the target student's academic achievement, behavioral growth, socio-emotional relationships, and personal development.
• Adapt to the particular educational/therapeutic needs of the student(s).
